Barcelona is gearing up to secure a loan to cover the release clause of Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, as reported by SPORT.

Interestingly, to work on the deal, Deco, the club’s sporting director, recently met with Nico’s agent, Felix Tainta, in Zaragoza where the winger was offered a long-term contract.
The meeting went well, personal terms were agreed and both parties are positive about the potential transfer, though several steps remain before the deal can be finalized.

Once the funds are in place, the next challenge will be accommodating the 22-year-old speedster within the club’s salary structure. This will require freeing up salary space, with the aim of offering Nico an annual gross salary of €12 million.
Amidst all this, it must be remembered that Barcelona are also working on signing Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig, but their current focus is on Nico.
This potential signing indicates Barcelona’s commitment to strengthening their squad despite financial hurdles. The club’s management is working tirelessly to navigate these…
