According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have made a significant move in their pursuit of Dani Olmo. The player’s agents, with whom Barcelona’s sporting director Deco met earlier this week, have received an official proposal from the club.
Journalist Ferran Martinez details that this proposal includes a six-year contract for Olmo, while his current club, RB Leipzig, would be compensated around €60 million, as per the buyout clause in his contract.
This amount comprises both fixed payments and some variable bonuses.
Despite the fact that the deadline for the €60 million clause expires this Saturday, Olmo and his representatives have managed to negotiate an extension, allowing this clause to remain effective for a few more weeks.
Starting tomorrow, Olmo, along with his agents and family, will closely examine Barcelona’s proposal. They will also communicate this offer to RB Leipzig, who will have the final decision on the transfer.

During a recent appearance, Olmo expressed that he wants to feel truly wanted by any club interested in signing him, and a strong proposal is essential for that. Barcelona have responded promptly to this sentiment by sending their offer.

While awaiting Leipzig’s response, Olmo is reportedly viewing Barcelona’s offer positively. However, he will take his time to carefully consider it, as he also has interest from other top European clubs.
Manchester City and Bayern Munich have been particularly aggressive in their pursuit of the Spanish international in recent days.
