Newcastle United are showing interest in Arsenal talent Chido Obi-Martin, with Fabrizio Romano revealing that we have made contact with the youngster preparing to leave the Gunners this summer.
At 16-years-old and standing 6ft 2′ tall, the young attacker scored 32 goals in 23 games in last season’s U18 Premier League; the most goals in the division and 11 goals clear of the next top scorer.
Obi notably made headlines in November 2023 when he scored ten goals in a 14-3 rout of Liverpool in an Under 16s clash, following that up with seven goals against Norwich in a 9-0 win in April 2024.
Manchester United look to be the frontrunner to sign the Dane, with both Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic reporting that Obi visited the club’s training facilities at Carrington earlier this week.
But alongside Newcastle and Manchester United, clubs across Europe are keeping tabs on Obi, with Romano revealing that Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt and AS Monaco have also made contact with a decision from the player’s end expected soon.
