July 23 – Centre half Leny Yoro (pictured) has joined Manchester United on a £62 million five-year deal, the most expensive deal done this week in the summer transfer window.

Impressing since his 2022 transfer to Everton, Onana will be a valuable addition to Villa’s midfield upgrade ahead of one of the most important seasons fir the club in recent memory.

The youngster was originally signed over a year ago but was unable to officially join the club before turning 18 – a milestone reached on Sunday. Los Blancos took a gamble on the youngster by placing a €47.5 million bid when the player was just 16 – a move that has since paid off, on paper at least, with the player valued at €60 million already.
