Joelinton has urged Eddie Howe to reject any offer from England, believing he’s a “great coach” who can take Newcastle United to the “next level.”
The Brazilian feels it’s “just speculation” at this stage, but accepts that it “shows how good he is” to see the FA eye up Howe after Gareth Southgate’s exit. However, his message was clear. “I love him. He’s changed my life. We want to stay with him.”
Joelinton – who signed from Hoffenheim five years ago yesterday – also told the press how happy he is on Tyneside, saying he “loves the club” and “always wanted to stay” after finally agreeing a contract extension earlier this year. He also had good things to say about Sandro Tonali, calling the Italian a “great lad” and “great player” who “works really hard.”
The 27-year-old discussed his lofty ambitions for the coming season too, revealing that we’re determined to get back into the Champions League and reach another final after falling just short over the past two seasons. Read what he had to say below:
