A report from Mundo Deportivo has confirmed that if Barcelona decide to part ways with Vitor Roque, the young striker would prefer a permanent move rather than a loan.
It is no secret that Barcelona want to offload Roque and the main reason behind this is the club’s difficulty in registering the striker. Barcelona need to prioritise the registration of other players first, leading them to contemplate Roque’s departure.
In that regard, Barcelona have already received a loan offer from a club in Saudi Arabia and this includes covering his salary and a mandatory purchase option at the end of the loan.
However, Barcelona would rather transfer him outright for a fee higher than the €30 million they initially agreed to pay Athletico Paranaense, plus €31 million in potential add-ons.
Roque is expected in pre-season friendlies
The outlet confirms that unless something unexpected happens, Roque is expected to travel with the team to the United States for their North American tour.

During this tour, coach Hansi Flick will have the chance to see Roque in action against top teams like Manchester City, Real Madrid, and AC Milan.
Despite the uncertain future, Roque is determined to stay at Barcelona and prove himself. He made a strong commitment to the club, turning down higher offers because of his desire to succeed with the Blaugrana.
Roque will not give up easily
It is said that Roque is not ready to give up easily. He plans to use the upcoming tour in the United States to show Flick that he deserves a spot in the squad and can be a valuable asset alongside Robert Lewandowski.
Nevertheless, if Barcelona force him out, the 19-year-old insists that he would only leave on a permanent transfer, not a loan.
Since joining Barcelona, he has had limited opportunities to play, and if he must go, he wants to have a say in his next destination.
