Christian Pulisic made quite the impression in his first Serie A season with AC Milan and his goal heading into the 2024-25 campaign is to lead the club to silverware.
Pulisic joined up with the Rossoneri ahead of their second friendly in the United States, a showdown with Manchester City at Yankee Stadium on Saturday night. After a frustrating ending to his time at English Premier League side Chelsea, the U.S. men’s national team captain impressed in Milan.
Pulisic totaled 15 goals and 11 assists in 50 combined appearances, helping AC Milan finish in the top-four of Serie A and also compete in the UEFA Champions and Europa League tournaments.
While many players would’ve struggled with the adjustment of a new club, league, and city, Pulisic hit the ground running and has now set himself up for continued success this season. Paulo Fonseca takes over as club manager while Alvaro Morata and Alex Jimenez joined the Rossoneri as new arrivals.
Pulisic has high expectations for the upcoming season, knowing AC Milan has the talent to compete in every competition.
“It’s more so team goals of what we want to win, what we want to reach,” Pulisic said in a press conference Friday, sponsored by DIRECTV Soccer Champions Tour. “Our goal is to win trophies.
“We want to take the next step,” he added. “We had some good moments in the last season and I had some good moments personally but continuing to improve on that, helping the team in all ways; goals, assists, but also just the way that I work defensively and learning a lot more of the season and hoping to improve off of a good start, personally, but there’s many more things that I want to achieve.”
