Manchester United have rekindled their interest in Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui after his move to West Ham collapsed, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany.
The Hammers had reached an agreement over a fee totaling close to €20 million with Bayern for the 26-year-old right-back, but they failed to find common ground with his representatives over personal terms and withdrew from the negotiations. Manchester United took this development as an opportunity to boost their right defensive flank, with the future of Aaron Wan-Bissaka increasingly uncertain.
The 20-time English champions have already completed the signings of striker Joshua Zirkzee and defender Leny Yoro, and they’re heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte. Meanwhile, their talks over Mazraoui are believed to be at an advanced stage.
Bayern signed the 28-cap Morocco international from Ajax in 2022, and since then he’s made a total of 55 appearances for the Bavarians, scoring once and producing eight assists.
