Newcastle have are reportedly eyeing up a move for Sheffield United’s 20-year-old striker Will Osula, though the young Dane won’t come cheap.
According to Alan Nixon of the Sun (through his Patreon account), the Magpies believe Osula has big potential and are willing to make him our third striker in the squad behind Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
Nixon reports that the Blades will be holding out for at least £10m if they were to part ways with Osula.
The Denmark U21 international scored three goals in last season’s FA Cup but didn’t notch in the Premier League. He is still under contract with the Yorkshire side until 2027.
He has enjoyed a strong start to the pre-season however, with goals against both York City and Chesterfield helping Sheffield enjoy an unbeaten summer so far.
Any move to Tyneside would make him Newcastle’s sixth signing of the season so far, following on from Odysseas Vlachodimos, Lloyd Kelly, Lewis Hall, John Ruddy and Miodrag Pivaš all making permanent moves over the last few weeks.
