The U.S. women’s national team will be heading to Wembley Stadium this November.
Emma Hayes’ squad will take on 2022 European Champions and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup finalists England on Nov. 30 in the team’s penultimate match of 2024. The USWNT will play another match in Europe following the game against the Lionesses with the opponent and venue to be determined soon.
November’s showdown will mark the second-ever meeting between the two countries at Wembley Stadium. The first came in October 2022, in which the USWNT lost controversially by a 2-1 scoreline.
The match will also be the first for the London-born Hayes in her native country since taking over as USWNT head coach.
England won the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 competition after defeating Germany 2-1 in front of a record-setting crowd of 87,192 fans. Currently ranked No. 3 in the world, the Lionesses reached the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final in Australia but fell 1-0 to Spain.
The USWNT now has three matches scheduled for this fall, including a pair of home friendlies vs. Iceland this October.
