Newcastle United have agreed a fee to sign Sheffield United striker William Osula, with the 20-year-old talent en route to the North East to complete the formalities.
A deal has been struck that will see us pay an initial £10m and further £5m in potential add-ons, making him our sixth signing of the summer if and when his medical goes smoothly over the next 24 hours.
He’s a fairly unknown talent to most Newcastle fans, so this felt like a good time to share some clips of the 6ft 4′ forward in action, sharing glimpses of him in the Premier League last season and some impressive footage that’s emerged from pre-season; where he’s scored two in two for the Blades.

Based on the bits I saw last season and the compilations we’ve seen online, Eddie Howe has plenty of raw attributes to work with here.
He’s tall, athletic, powerful, has quick feet for his size and is not afraid to press or test centre-backs with his movement in behind. Of course, his final ball and finishing must be worked on, but you can see why Paul Mitchell has pushed for his signing, believing he has the makings of a very dangerous Premier League striker.
