Barcelona one step away from 1:1 rule as €40 million cash injection imminent

In a major update, FC Barcelona have finally managed to get a sponsor of the club to put on the table the €40 million that Libero did not pay in October for the 10% of Barça Studios that it acquired, reports Que T’hi Jugues (h/t SPORT).

Barcelona had been working on this operation for many months and this Tuesday afternoon, the agreement will be signed in the offices of the Catalan club.

The report further adds that the deal has indeed been completed, but will not be announced publicly until tomorrow Wednesday, when Barcelona return from the United States.

The Blaugrana are currently on their pre-season tour, which will end in 12 hours with the final friendly against AC Milan in Baltimore.

At the moment, the priority is to close the deal for Dani Olmo, who is now the top target with Nico Williams likely to stay put at Athletic Club.

Barcelona sporting director, Deco, has travelled to Leipzig and will hold a definitive summit to sign Olmo. The Catalans hope that the third time is the charm after the German club rejected the first two…
