August 6 – Tottenham Hotspur Women have agreed a sponsorship with mineral water firm Drip, who become the teams Official Front of Training Wear Partner for the 2024/25 season.
Drip branding will feature on the front of Spurs’ women’s training and travel wear, as they look to build on last season’s Women’s FA Cup Final appearance, and a sixth-place finish in the Women’s Super League.
Founded in 2023 by TV chef and rapper Big Zuu, Drip provides natural mineral water filtered through over 420ft of chalk and enriched with minerals from deep within England’s South Downs at the first “filled at source” 500ml water canning facility in the UK.
Drip and Spurs both champions sustainability as a core value. Drip uses aluminium for its cans, saving 95% of the energy it would take to make a plastic bottle or carton. Spurs has eliminated the use of single-use plastic water bottles, powers its Stadium and Training Centre with renewable electricity, and sends zero waste to landfill.
Ryan Norys, chief revenue officer, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “Drip’s support is crucial as we push to be one of the most competitive teams in the WSL. Like Tottenham Hotspur, Drip places great importance on sustainability, using infinitely recyclable aluminium cans.”
No value has been given for the sponsorship.
Samantha Wilmot, Head of Sport at Drip, said: “At Drip, we’re all about doing things differently and making a positive impact. Choosing to partner with Tottenham Hotspur Women is perfect for Drip, we’re both breaking new ground and planning on making history through our partnership with the club. We believe in the importance of championing women’s sports as a focal point of our partnership efforts as we grow the Drip ecosystem. This collaboration is about more than financial support; it’s about shared values and changing the women’s game like no other brand has before.”
