I start by going through the latest reports emerging on Marc Guehi after claims Newcastle are ‘closing in’ on the Crystal Palace centre-back for a fee in excess of £60m.

We discuss why he’d be a ‘perfect signing’ for Eddie Howe and also take a closer look at William Osula; the Danish forward who is on Tyneside as we speak ahead of his £10m switch from Sheffield United.

After that, we discuss the dilemma around our right-winger search (is there money available if we go bid for Guehi?), Anthony Gordon’s future, the positives from our pre-season trip to Japan and preview this weekend’s Sela Cup fixtures before sharing a few U21 exclusives we’ve picked up this week.
