August 8 – German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund have agreed a multi-year premium partner deal with online gaming company StarGames as the online betting platform looks to elevate exposure within the European market with the eight-time Bundesliga champions.
Beginning this season, the current deal will allow brand visibility at the 80,000-seater Signal Iduna Park stadium until 2027.
This will also include featuring the StarGames logo on stadium TV and across numerous digital platforms, with activations planned to take advantage of the club’s 40 million strong social media following.
The deal marks the biggest football sponsorship for StarGames in Germany, who already hold a training kit deal with second-tier side Hannover agreed in 2023.
László Pados, brand manager at StarGames, said: “BVB embodies the pure love of the game, tradition, team spirit and fair play – cornerstones that resonate deeply with our philosophy at StarGames.
“It also makes us and the entire Greentube Group very proud to be the first German online gaming platform focusing on secure online entertainment to announce such an extensive partnership with one of Germany’s top clubs. We are looking forward to working together.”
No value was given for the sponsorship.
Carsten Cramer, managing director of Borussia Dortmund, said: “We are delighted to welcome StarGames as a new premium partner at BVB starting next season. StarGames is a strong, innovative representative of its industry and is valued by its customers for its reliable service.”
