Last Friday, we released an exclusive on Newcastle’s ongoing interest in Noni Madueke, revealing that Newcastle United are exploring a loan-to-buy deal with Chelsea that would include an obligatory purchase option next summer.
A few days on, Fabrizio Romano is now reporting on our interest in the winger, claiming that Chelsea are currently working on outgoings after Pedro Neto became their 35th permanent signing just two years under free-spending owner Todd Boehly.
He believes Madueke is ‘one to watch’ following Neto’s arrival and Newcastle’s interest, feeling Chelsea could part with the 22-year-old if a ‘good bid’ arrives from St James’ Park.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea would entertain an initial loan with an obligation to buy, as Madueke ended the 2023/24 campaign in good form under former boss Mauricio Pochettino and has continued to impress under new manager Ezo Maresca, bagging three goals and one assist over pre-season.
Madueke sealed a £29m move from PSV in February 2023 and played with Anthony Gordon last summer as England’s U21s won the European Championships.
