Both Kilmarnock and St. Johnstone are looking for their first Scottish Premiership win of the new season when they battle on Sunday at Rugby Park.
On Matchday One, Killie lost 4-0 away at Celtic, while St. Johnstone were defeated 2-1 by Aberdeen on Monday.
Kilmarnock current form
Unfortunately for Killie, their opening fixture was the hardest one on their calendar – away at champions, Celtic.
Brendan Rodgers’ side were excellent as they won 4-0 at home, but Killie quickly had to dust themselves down to focus back on Europe.
They faced Tromso in Europa Conference League Qualifying on Thursday and earned a 2-2 draw to take to Norway next week.
St. Johnstone current form
St. Johnstone lost against Aberdeen in the league but progressed in the League Cup Group Stage after victories versus Brechin City, Greenock Morton, and East Fife.
They lost 3-2 against Alloa, however.
Kilmarnock vs St. Johnstone Team News
Kilmarnock don’t have any major injuries of note but it is likely Derek McInnes will rotate at least a few positions of his starting XI following the European game on Thursday, especially with the second leg to come.
St. Johnstone will be without Uche Ikpeazu, though Nicky Clark is close to being match fit after coming off the bench against Aberdeen.
