Over the past few seasons, Chelsea haven’t been at their usual selves of fighting for leagues and trophies, not managing to make even the top four in the last three seasons. Despite getting to multiple finals, losing out to Liverpool in each one caused further pain for Chelsea supporters, feeling like this never ending cycle won’t end.
But if other clubs have shown, there’s still every chance Chelsea can once again return to the summit of the Premier League and fight for titles in the near future, however this will take time, planning and minimal mistakes if they’re to achieve this. Chelsea are one of the greats of the Premier League and with numerous titles under their belt, it’s time they got back to where they belong. Sign a world class striker
One thing we saw from last season is how much Chelsea missed that world class striker up front. Whilst Jackson does have potential and it’s clear to see, he’s far from the finished article. Despite hitting 14 goals last season, there were so many chances that were missed, and if those chances were taken, it could’ve propelled Chelsea up the table. At 23, he’s still got so much to learn, and having a world class striker to teach him and to learn off could be critical for both him and Chelsea.
For example someone like Victor Osimhen from Napoli could be the ideal striker to bring in, he brings a vast amount of experience along with the ability to really lead that Chelsea front line with confidence. With the likes of Sterling, Palmer and Nkunku all supporting him, it could be a really deadly attacking outfit.
