Player Ratings
Newcastle
Pope’s performance in goal was enough to earn him a 7.6 rating overall, whilst Lloyd Kelly (7.0) was the only other player to manage over a 7, helped largely by his assist for Harvey Barnes’ goal.
Here are the player ratings for Newcastle:
Tottenham
It was not a good day for Spurs, with only Brennan Johnson (7.1) managing to get over a 7 in terms of rating for the 45 minutes he was on the pitch.
Son Heungmin (6.9), Dejan Kulusevski (6.9) and James Maddison (6.3) were uncharacteristically quiet.
Here are the player ratings for Spurs:
Best Player of the Match
Nick Pope
As noted Pope managed a 7.6 rating, and that was enough to earn him the Player of the Match accolade against Spurs.
Worst Player on the Pitch
Pedro Porro
Even though other players managed lower ratings, Pedro Porro was unfortunately the worst player on the pitch over the 90 minutes.
