Pundit says Spurs winger was standout player vs NUFC

Spurs suffered defeat away to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites, who have won just one game so far this season, dropped more points after losing 2-1 to Eddie Howe’s Magpies at St. James’ Park on the weekend.

Goals from Harvey Barnes and Alexander Isak were enough to down Spurs despite them equalising through a Dan Burn own-goal after 56 minutes.

And the Londoners’ lacklustre performance, which was proven by Son Heung-min’s failure to register a single shot on target, did not please Ange Postecoglou.

Speaking after the game, the no-nonsense Aussie, as quoted by Football London, said: “Fair play to [Nick] Pope, I thought he had an outstanding game. But I thought we could have tested him a few more times with just some better decision-making.”

It wasn’t all doom and gloom for the away side though.
