Newcastle United have announced that summer signing Miodrag Pivas has completed a season-long loan move to Dutch side Willem II.
Like Garang Kuol (Volendam) and Yankuba Minteh (Feyenoord) last season, the 19-year-old will spend the remainder of 2024/25 in the Eredivisie after arriving from FK Jedinstvo back in July.
Pivas is capable of playing at centre-back or as a holding midfielder and is another ‘one for the future’ who will be hoping to impress in Holland and break into Eddie Howe’s plans in the years to come.
Willems II won the Dutch second tier last season and currently sit 9th in the Eredivisie four games into the new season.
Elsewhere, Jamal Lewis has arrived in Brazil ahead of his shock mov to Sao Paolo, with the Brazilian media speaking to the left-back from the airport as he touched down in South America (watch below).
After seeing his career completely stall on Tyneside and a few loan moves that didn’t amount to much, I really hope he finds a new home at Sao Paolo.
