England interim boss Lee Carsley will hope to build on Saturday’s encouraging win in the Republic of Ireland when Finland visit Wembley in the Nations League tomorrow night.
The Three Lions were relegated from League A two years ago but began their bid for a swift return with a 2-0 victory in Dublin thanks to goals from Declan Rice and Jack Grealish.
Despite a relatively straightforward success, there was still plenty for Carsley to work on with the second-half performance falling a little flat after an excellent opening 45 minutes.
A clash with Finland may also give him the chance to experiment given their opponents looked short of quality during their 3-0 defeat to Greece at the weekend. Angel Gomes and Morgan Gibbs-White both made their debuts after coming off the bench at the Aviva Stadium and will be pushing for inclusion from the start.
John Stones may also return at centre-half while Jarrod Bowen and Eberechi Eze may get opportunities in midfield.
