Genoa vs Roma Player Ratings

Draw specialists Roma had to share the points in another Serie A match this season after things finished all-square versus Genoa on Sunday.

Daniele De Rossi’s men took the lead in the first half as Artem Dovbyk scored his first goal for Roma since his big-money transfer from Girona in the summer.

It was looking likely that the Giallorossi would claim their first victory of the season, but Genoa equalised in the 96th minute through defender Koni De Winter.

Player of the Match

Roma led for most of the game and a large part of the solid defensive display up until the equaliser was due to the performance of Mile Svilar in goal.

He made no less than six saves on the day but his best contribution was his ball recoveries as he made 17 to take the pressure off his defence.

He could do nothing for Genoa’s equaliser as De Winter’s header came from close range inside the box.

Worst Player

The worst performance came from Genoa striker Caleb Ekuban, who had an ineffectual outing to say the least.

He attempted five shots on goal and only one of those hit the target, while he only won three out of 10 duels at the top of the pitch.

During his 80 minutes on the pitch, he only completed nine passes to his team-mates.
