Bookies release new top 4 odds after big weekend for Newcastle United

It’s been a mixed weekend of Premier League results for Newcastle United and our European rivals, ending with our brilliant comeback victory at Wolves thanks to stunning strikes from Fabian Schar and Harvey Barnes.

Before our win, we saw Spurs lose at home to Arsenal – a result that leaves them six points behind us – along with a shock 1-0 defeat for Liverpool, draws for Brighton and West Ham and wins for Aston Villa, Man Utd and Chelsea.

The bookies have reacted and, as of Monday afternoon, this is their latest set of top four odds four games into the new 2024/25 season:

Arsenal – 1/20 (1.05)
Man City – 1/8 (1.13)
Liverpool – 1/4 (1.25)
Chelsea – 6/4 (2.50)
Newcastle – 5/2 (3.50)
Tottenham – 3/1 (4.00)
Aston Villa – 10/3 (4.33)
Man Utd – 7/2 (4.50)
Brighton – 6/1 (7.00)
West Ham – 20/1 (21.00)

If the top three is to include Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool – which the odds strongly suggest – we could find ourselves in a five-club battle for fourth with Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd and Aston Villa. Again, the bookies indicate similar, as there’s not much between ourselves and all four as things stand, with Brighton and West Ham considered big outsiders.
