Having endured a difficult spell in Barcelona, Vitor Roque left the club during the summer transfer window, signing for Real Betis on a loan deal.
As has been reported, the Verdiblancos have the option of making his stay permanent by activating a €25 million purchase clause for 80% of his rights at the end of the season.
Roque had joined Barcelona last January but barely featured during the second half of the 2023/24 season under Xavi Hernandez.
With things not improving under Hansi Flick, the 19-year-old decided that it was time for him to go elsewhere in search of minutes.

Now, SPORT has come forward with a report highlighting the motivations behind Vitor Roque’s decision to sign for Real Betis.
The 19-year-old is of the idea that he will get much more playing time with Manuel Pellegrini’s side than he did at Barcelona, which will help ‘relaunch his career’.

Beyond that, Roque also views the loan move to Betis as his way back into the Brazilian national team, having dropped out of the senior Selecao squad in recent months.
Brazil are on the lookout for a proven No. 9 with manager Dorival Junior’s recent experiments not working well.
And, Roque might force his way back into the scheme of things, after scoring two goals for Brazil’s U-20 team against Mexico during the previous international break.
Carrying the confidence from that performance, the 19-year-old Barcelona loanee netted his first goal for Real Betis this past weekend against Leganes.
Given the form he has showcased over the past couple of weeks, it would not be a surprise to see Roque get a call-up to the Brazil squad next month.
