The NUFC Blogcast is back for another week, as myself and Ed look back at Sunday’s 2-1 win over Wolves after two late stunners from Harvey Barnes and Fabian Schar sent us up to third (Listen here or press play below)
We start by giving our immediate reaction to Sunday’s rollercoaster of a game at Molineux before discussing what the result means, looking at the league table, our best start since the 90s and what happened to be a very rare win at Wolves.
Next comes my list of positives and negatives from the match, featuring Howe’s ruthless move, Barnes’ incredible stats, Willock’s cameo and some helping hands from Pope and Trippier, along with the latest on Isak’s eye issue.
As usual, we run through your Twitter questions and this week’s poll of the week, followed some chat on our much-improved bench and some of the selection dilemmas facing Eddie Howe over the coming weeks and months.
To finish, I run through my ‘moment you might’ve missed’, discuss why it’s been a positive weekend of results for Newcastle and end with a quiz question for Ed.
