SmartSoft track Argentina’s rise in popularity with renewed deal focussed on Europe

September 20 – The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has confirmed the renewal and expanded its partnership with online casino games supplier SmartSoft, elevating the brand to the role of regional sponsor in Europe.

Previously a digital sponsor for the European market, SmartSoft has ridden the increased global appeal of Argentina’s national team after winning the 2022 World Cup.

Under the new deal, SmartSoft’s activate through match tickets, special access to Argentina’s national teams, and autographed merchandise.

Leandro Petersen, AFA’s commercial and marketing manager, said: “Over the past few years, we have established a strategic vision and goal for our Association to restore international prestige and global commercial appeal. This sponsorship agreement in the European territory with SmartSoft is the confirmation of our strategy.

“Together with SmartSoft, we will continue to develop commercial and marketing actions both in the digital realm and in international industry events. In this way, AFA will be present at multiple global events alongside a technology leader like SmartSoft.”

Argentina remain top of the World Rankings, which were updated on Thursday, as Lionel Scaloni’s side stretched their lead over France in second. No term or value was given for the increased sponsorship.

Guga Gotsadze, SmartSoft CEO, said: “Football has a unique power to unite people, and we strive to be present at these significant moments. Sponsoring the Argentine national team and being a member of the World Champions Family are proof of our commitment.”
