September 27 – Blockchain specialists Chiliz Group have launched Chiliz Sports, a sports marketing agency that will focus on creating business opportunities between the sports and crypto industries.
With crypto and blockchain sponsorships retuning en masse to football, the new agency is positioning itself to advise and connect companies from both the sports and crypto worlds to find ways to collaborate and grow together.
To make this happen, Chiliz Sports will use its connections with top athletes, sports leagues, and crypto companies to facilitate partnerships and offer advice on how to best use blockchain in sports.
The division is being led by Daniel Maglietta, who already has experience setting up deals between sports and crypto companies in Europe.
Alexandre Dreyfus, founder and CEO of the Chiliz Group, said: “We know sports clubs and sports properties very well because we’ve been serving them and their fans for over six years. We understand their needs and priorities, what works for them and what doesn’t, we know what moves their audiences.
“We also have a deep understanding of blockchain and crypto companies, because we are one. We know how they operate, their goals and the challenges they face. Our aim has always been to serve both industries and bring them together to create value.”
Daniel Maglietta, managing director and co-founder of Chiliz Sports, added: “Over the past six years we’ve developed not only a deep understanding of the sports and crypto industries but also outstanding connections and an unmatchable network featuring the biggest names and brands from both sectors… Now, through Chiliz Sports more clubs, rights holders and brands from sports, crypto and beyond will be able to tap into our remarkable network.”
