Chelsea need to go all out to sign Viktor Gyokeres as soon as possible – Talk Chelsea

I am more than happy with Nicolas Jackson from the back end of last season and how he has started this season. But if we are to continue with the positive build of quality competition in this squad, then there is no way I am even slightly thinking about not signing a new striker. We need one.

We still lack a complete 9 profile in my opinion. We know what Jackson is good at, we know Christopher Nkunku is a fox in the box and is an elite finisher. But we need a mix of those two, plus further attributes that they both lack to be a complete 9.

The man who has all of those attributes in my opinion is Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting, and we should have just signed him in the summer and be done with it.

Whether he can resolve any issues I’ve heard about between him and a sporting director at Chelsea remains to be seen. But we need to do all we can to try and sign this guy, and that includes paying his £85m release clause. I’d do it I really would. Do that and have the striker position finally sorted for the foreseeable future. Nobody is speaking about Moises Caicedo’s price tag anymore, to get the elites you need to pay the money.

Gyokeres is THAT guy. He is THAT striker. He has it all. Anything you want and need from your number 9, he has it.

As you can see from his highlights from the UCL last week, Gyokeres is a SERIOUS player..

I know Chelsea are still very interested in Gyokeres, but I’m waiting on info for the latest plans on strikers.

I am hoping to bring a new soured article on strikers very soon with the latest info on that.

But whatever we are thinking, it must seriously involve Gyokeres.
