Cristiano Ronaldo says he is no longer interested in individual awards and is more focused on team success with Al-Nassr.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has amassed a collection of personal accolades and landmarks over his long and illustrious career, most notably as he battled with Lionel Messi for the title of ‘best player in the world’.
However, at the age of 39, and with Inter Miami star Messi also playing outside of Europe’s major leagues, he believes it’s time to focus on his Saudi Arabian club and help then achieve success domestically and in continental competition.

Speaking after last night’s 2-1 win over Al-Rayyan in the AFC Champions League, he said: “It is not important anymore whether I am the best or not, I no longer care about that.
“It is good for a player to score goals, but for me it is better for the team to win.
“I am used to breaking records and I no longer look for them. The most important thing for me now is to enjoy and help Al-Nassr and my team-mates to win.”
Ronaldo recently passed 900 goals in his career and his effort against Al-Rayyan – a brilliant left-footed finish – was number 904.
