Jules Kounde has undeniably become a key player for Barcelona, consistently featuring in every match without missing a single minute.
Even though he is often positioned in a less favourable role, his contributions have made him irreplaceable. Naturally, at some stage, the club would want to give him a much-needed break.
However, recent events have left Barcelona frustrated, particularly with the latest announcement from the French national team, reports SPORT.
Why is Barcelona annoyed?
The irritation stems from Didier Deschamps’ decision regarding Kylian Mbappe. After picking up an injury against Alaves, Mbappe was expected to be out of action for several weeks.
Despite this, he returned sooner than anticipated, playing significant minutes against Lille and being included in the squad for the Villarreal match.

Given his form and fitness, Barcelona find it puzzling that Deschamps has chosen to exclude him from the national team while making no such allowances for Kounde.
Considering the depth of talent available to the French national team, especially with someone like Mbappe, Deschamps’ decision to rest the forward while continuing to call upon Kounde raises concerns.
Unfair to Barcelona?
For Barcelona, this preferential treatment seems unfair. Kounde has already accumulated over 1,000 minutes of play this season, and yet, there is no sign of him getting any rest during the upcoming international break.
Kounde is now set to travel to Budapest for a game against Israel and then to Brussels for a match against Belgium. After returning to Barcelona on the 16th, he will dive straight back into a busy schedule, including a weekend league fixture, Champions League commitments, and the much-anticipated El Clasico.
