Wolves, beached in the EPL, home in on Visit Lauderdale as destination partner

Wolves, beached in the EPL, home in on Visit Lauderdale as destination partner

October 8 – As a second hurricane barrels towards Florida, Wolverhampton Wanderers in timing that resembles their current Premier League form, have officially named ‘Visit Lauderdale’ as their destination partner for 2024/25.

In July, current Wolves manager, Gary O’Neil led his team to Fort Lauderdale, FLA. and the inaugural, Stateside Cup, where they played German Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig. The ‘Visit Lauderdale’ team laid out the red carpet for the team from the Midlands taking them on extensive tours around the region.

President and CEO of ‘Visit Lauderdale’ Stacy Ritter said: “We look forward to celebrating this partnership and inviting Wolves fans from across the globe to explore all that Greater Fort Lauderdale has to offer.”

Russel Jones, the Wolves General Manager added: “We are thrilled to welcome Visit Lauderdale to the Wolves family as our official destination partner. The beautiful beaches of Greater Fort Lauderdale, combined with lively nightlife, provided our players and staff with the ideal blend of relaxation and adventure.”

With Wolves currently propping up the bottom of the Premier League table with one point, and a league high, 21 goals conceded, one has to wonder if the entire organisation is still on the beach mentally.

The international break ordinarily would often see clubs recharge batteries in sunny, tropical destinations. With Hurricane Milton heading east from the Gulf of Mexico, it can be safely assumed that Wolves will be staying closer to home.

Unfortunately for Gary O’Neil, a Category Five match will be arriving as his teams’ next Premier League clash is against the champions, Manchester City who’ll arrive at Molineux Stadium licking their chops in anticipation of a goal fest.
