Barcelona midfielder Gavi is likely to make his return to action following the international break. While it is uncertain if he will start immediately, there is optimism that he could play a few minutes towards the end of the match against Sevilla.
Gavi’s recovery has been impressive, though not without challenges. According to reports from SPORT, he was so determined to get back on the pitch that his recovery process had to be slowed down at times.
His commitment to rehabilitation was evident, and his eagerness to return has not gone unnoticed. On Wednesday, he participated in a training match, playing for around 45 minutes.
This session involved players not called up for international duty, alongside members of Barça Atletic. His performance during the match left many impressed. “He is like a bull. He goes for every ball,” they said within the team.

Expectations are understandably high for Gavi’s return, but there is caution in ensuring he is fully ready for competitive action.

Gavi’s playing style is known for its intensity, and there is little doubt that he will give his all when he steps back onto the pitch. However, after almost a year out, the club will be careful in managing his minutes.
The young midfielder now looks stronger and more muscular, thanks to an intense workout regime. His mental resilience has also been tested, especially given his young age, having suffered the injury at just 19.

Those close to him have observed his unwavering belief in his abilities, and it seems the injury has only reinforced his confidence. Tactically, Gavi has also had time to refine his game, as under Hansi Flick, he has been working on various aspects of his play.
