Three Barcelona stars all set to receive the medical all-clear for Sevilla clash

Three Barcelona stars all set to receive the medical all-clear for Sevilla clash

With the international break now over, FC Barcelona are all set to return to action in La Liga on Sunday night when they host Sevilla at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.

The Blaugrana are sweating over the availability of key forward Lamine Yamal heading into the game after he returned from Spain NT duty with a muscle overload.

But, Hansi Flick is all set to be boosted by the availability of three players for Sunday’s game against Sevilla and the upcoming crucial matches versus Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Gavi, Olmo, Fermin to receive the medical all-clear

Indeed, according to journalist Adria Albets, the returning trio of Dani Olmo, Gavi, and Fermin Lopez are all set to receive the all-clear from Barcelona’s medical department ahead of Sunday’s clash.

Gavi has been out of action for almost a year due to an ACL injury but has been back training with the group for close to a month now.

The La Masia gem has even been involved in training mini-matches and has shown good level, with his return against Sevilla now pretty much taken for granted.

Fermin, who suffered back-to-back muscle injuries during last month’s international break, has also fully recovered and rejoined team training this week. All that remains is for him to be officially given the go-ahead by the medical department.

As for Olmo, while he too has recovered, the 26-year-old summer arrival had not participated in group training, but that changed today as he worked with the rest of the squad.

And, like Gavi and Fermin, he too will receive the medical discharge in time for Sunday’s game.
