Two spotted back in Newcastle action and 18-year-old called up by Eddie Howe

Newcastle United have been handed an injury boost ahead of our game against Brighton this weekend with Lewis Miley and Martin Dubravka both pictured in training after spells on the sidelines.

Miley has missed out on pre-season and the first nine games of the season with a broken foot which he suffered back in July, so it’s great to see the 18-year-old back in action and closing in on a comeback.

Dubravka missed our draw at Everton and pulled out of the Slovakia squad after suffering an injury in the cup tie against AFC Wimbledon, but it seems he’s back in contention after he too was pictured in training on Wednesday.

Another player spotted in the photos was 18-year-old Anthony Munda, who was called up to first-team training this week. The England youth international is yet to make his first team bow, although he appears to be in Eddie Howe’s sights after an invite to train with the senior side.

Neither Callum Wilson or Alexander Isak featured in the training photos released yesterday, though this could very well be mind games by Eddie Howe hoping to keep the Seagulls on their toes.

Wilson is believed to have finally recovered from his back injury which he picked up in the summer while Isak was dealing with a broken toe which had kept him out of the last few games as well as international duty. However, recent reports have suggested that both are on track to return this weekend.
