Juventus plot January raid for Barcelona, Real Madrid defensive target – report

Jonathan Tah is undoubtedly going to be one of the main names in the transfer market in the coming months. The 28-year-old centre-back’s contract with Bayer Leverkusen expires at the end of the season, and many clubs, including Barcelona and Real Madrid, are interested.

Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are also in the race for the defender as per reports in Germany and Italy, as relayed by SPORT, but it could be Juventus who face the biggest threat for the Blaugrana.

Juventus want Tah in January

Indeed, as per the report, Juventus are now considering bringing in Jonathan Tah during the winter transfer window to secure the German centre-back before his contract with Bayer Leverkusen ends.

After Gleison Bremer’s serious knee injury in early October, the ‘Bianconeri’ are contemplating making a financial effort to reinforce the defense of Thiago Motta’s team in January.

Bayer Leverkusen are not willing to negotiate a low-cost transfer in the winter market, the reality is that losing Tah for free in the summer is not a particularly pleasant alternative for the German champions either.

From Barcelona, meanwhile, the situation of the German is still being monitored despite the defensive line seeming well covered.

Tah is a defender that the Blaugrana sporting area likes a lot for his physical prowess. Deco already had him on the table in the summer, and in August, a move was made through his agent, Pini Zahavi, with whom excellent relations are maintained.

At that time, Leverkusen asked for an excessive amount, and Barça ended the market without being able to operate due to the salary cap.

In recent months, the possibility of signing Jonathan Tah has remained open, but with Juventus planning a move in January itself, it remains to be seen how things progress.
