In the latest update shared by Javier Miguel via AS, it has been revealed that Barcelona midfielders Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez are set to play a maximum of 20-25 minutes in tomorrow’s home match against Sevilla.
As of today, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick finds himself in a fortunate position with three key players — Fermin Lopez, Dani Olmo, and Gavi — all available again for selection.
Adding to his good fortune, two other players, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski, have returned from their international duties, though they were initially reported to have sustained injuries.
Careful consideration
Although Flick is thrilled to have these options back, he will need to carefully manage the situation, particularly with Gavi’s case, as the young midfielder might require more cautious reintegration.

Meanwhile, the situation for Fermin and Olmo seems less complicated, and both could gradually work their way back into the starting lineup in upcoming games.
However, for the clash against Sevilla, it is expected that their time on the pitch will be limited to no more than 25 minutes, as they are eased back into match fitness.
What’s going on with Olmo?
Olmo’s recovery has been a hot topic over the last few weeks. Early reports hinted at a possible return within a week, but more recent updates suggest that Olmo is ready to play after receiving medical clearance for the Sevilla match.
Even though this is positive news, it is unlikely that Flick will start either Olmo or Fermin Lopez in the Sevilla game. Instead, the focus will be on gradually reintroducing them to the team to avoid any risks.
All in all, it is in everyone’s best interest that both players return to the field cautiously, ensuring they can fully regain their form without unnecessary pressure.
