Barcelona breakthrough midfielder earns praise from former coach – ‘Example of a professional player’

Rafa Marquez, the former coach of Barça Atletic, recently took to social media to express his appreciation for Marc Casado, who has shown remarkable talent and professionalism. 

Although Marquez left his position last summer to join the Mexican Football Federation, he has not forgotten the players he coached, particularly Casado, who served as captain of the reserve team during Marquez’s tenure.

In response to Casado’s words, Marquez shared his thoughts on social media, highlighting the value of gratitude in coaching. He remarked that one of the most rewarding aspects of being a coach is witnessing the growth of players. 

He noted that Casado exemplifies professionalism and dedication, praising him for his bravery and outstanding performance on the field. Marquez expressed his happiness at seeing Casado thrive as a player.

“Now as a coach, one of the things you value the most is gratitude and helping the player to evolve, Casado is a clear example of a professional player from head to toe!! brave!! Happy with his performance,” he said.

Last season, Casado featured in 31 matches for the reserve team, consistently demonstrating his skills and earning a place in the first team under Xavi.
