Journalist Sergi de Juan, reporting for AS, noted that he may rejoin the squad for the November 23rd match against Celta in La Liga or the November 26th Champions League clash against Brest.
This timeline would ultimately mark the end of a long four-month journey since his setback.
Out since July
Araujo’s injury took place during a Copa America match in July when he suffered a severe muscle tear in his right thigh.
The injury was significant enough to require surgery, and though Barcelona initially refrained from publicly confirming the exact time he would be out, estimates indicated a four-month rehabilitation period.
Now, three months into recovery, Araujo’s progress appears promising, impressing the club’s recovery staff who closely monitor his conditioning.

This week, Araujo shared an image of himself training on the pitch at Ciudad Deportiva, a clear sign that he is well into his rehabilitation.

His tendency towards injuries means the medical and coaching staff are wary of rushing his comeback, prioritising his long-term stability on the field.
