West Ham vs Man United: Ten Hag penalty pain

Jarrod Bowen’s 92nd-minute penalty – awarded against Matthijs de Ligt for a challenge on Danny Ings when referee David Coot consulted his pitchside monitor – gave West Ham a 2-1 victory and cranked up the pressure on Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

Crysencio Summerville slid the Hammers, who rose above their opponents to 13th, ahead in the 74th minute, with Casemiro nodding in seven minutes later for United, who could not find a way back during 14 minutes of added time and have only once returned fewer points from their first nine Premier League games.

Chelsea vs Newcastle: Palmer goal decides result

Cole Palmer had an early strike ruled out for offside but would not ultimately be denied as Chelsea’s talisman scored the winner following a run from the halfway line to give his side a 2-1 victory over Newcastle.
