Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr. has strongly condemned the racist abuse directed at Barcelona players during yesterday’s El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Ansu Fati of Barça were targeted with racist insults by a section of Real Madrid fans at the Bernabeu last night as the Catalans secured a resounding 4-0 victory.
Real Madrid, La Liga, and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have already issued statements condemning the act while an investigation has also been launched into the incident.
Now, In a powerful statement shared on social media, Vinicius expressed his dismay at the treatment of Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati, and Raphinha.

“It’s regrettable what happened yesterday at the Bernabeu with racist insults. There is no place for these criminals in our society. All my support to Lamine, Ansu and Raphinha,” the Real Madrid forward wrote on X.
“I know that Madrid and the police will do things to identify and punish the guilty!!”
Vinicius has himself been no stranger to racist abuse since arriving in Spanish football in 2018. The Brazilian winger has become a leading figure in the fight against racism in football, having been subjected to racist incidents on several occasions in La Liga.
This latest incident of racism in La Liga has cast a shadow over one of Spanish football’s most prestigious fixtures. The football community awaits to see what measures will be taken to address this ongoing issue in Spanish football.
