Pereira leaves Saudi Professional League Wolves’ a Premier League survival problem

December 20 – Premier League strugglers Wolverhampton Wanderers, within the English prime flight since 2018, have employed the much-travelled Vitor Pereira as  their new supervisor.

The 56-year-old Portuguese coach has agreed  to depart Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia to take over a crew in next-to-last place in England’s prime flight, with simply two wins from 16 video games.  He succeeds Gary O’Neil who was fired on Sunday – a day after a 2-1 loss to relegation rival Ipswich – after 16 months in cost.

Previously 15 years, Pereira has coached in his native Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Germany, China, Brazil and Saudi.

His most profitable spell was at Porto, who he led to league titles in 2012 and 2013 – shedding only one match throughout two campaigns.

Wolves chairman Jeff Shi stated Pereira “will convey a brand new strategy for the check forward.”

“This can be a difficult second for the membership, and we wish to thank Vitor for taking over this duty,” Shi stated. “We have now full confidence in his capacity to information us again on observe.”

Pereira has signed an 18-month deal and his first match in cost shall be at Leicester on Saturday.
