AFC seeds nations for U17 Asian Cup draw. Prime 8 will qualify for U17 World Cup

January 17 – The AFC will maintain the draw subsequent Thursday for the group stage of the U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2025, to be performed April 3-20.

The draw will see the 15 qualifiers from the 42 nations that competed within the first rounds, put into the pot with hosts Saudi Arabia.

That is the twentieth version of the U17 Asian Cup which is presently held by Japan. 9 former champions are within the draw and 12 nations who competed within the 2023 finals.

The highest eight finishers will win slots on the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 – the primary version of the newly expanded 48-team sturdy annual match.

Nations within the Saudi Arabia 2025 draw have been seeded into 4 pots derived from the rating from the earlier three editions (2016, 2018, 2023).
