West Ham are eying a summer move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.
That is according to the latest from Football Transfers, which claims that the London club were among the leading contenders to sign the former Liverpool striker in the January transfer window but a deal could not be materialised.
As per the report, initial discussions have already taken place between West Ham and Solanke’s representatives. However, the Hammers are anticipated to face strong competition from other Premier League outfits, including Tottenham and Arsenal.
In a bid to lure Solanke to the London Stadium, West Ham are reportedly prepared to offer the 26-year-old £115,000-per-week, a substantial rise from his current earnings at Bournemouth.
Regarding the transfer fee, Bournemouth are said to be seeking around £60 million to initiate negotiations.
However, Football Transfers suggests that a fee in the region of £45 million could be considered acceptable by the south coast club.
