With the UEFA Euro 2024 only a few weeks away, Spain manager Luis de la Fuente has announced the preliminary squad list of players for the tournament, and as many as five Barcelona stars have made the cut.
De la Fuente has announced a list of 29 players that he is considering, with the list set to be shortened to 26 in the days to come.
Teenage wonderkid Pau Cubarsi has been named in the squad only a couple of months after making his debut for the Spanish senior national team.
The 17-year-old is the only Barcelona defender on the list, with Inigo Martinez and Marcos Alonso not making it.
In midfield, Pedri returns to the Spanish national team fold while young Fermin Lopez, who has enjoyed a fine debut season at Barça, also gets picked in the pre-list.
Moving further up the pitch, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal, both fixtures in the Spain team, are also included in the squad for the Euros.
Gavi and Alejandro Balde would have been called up, but their injuries meant they have not been considered for selection.
