Chelsea eyeing two more Newcastle targets after Tosin Adarabioyo U-turn – Reports

After hijacking Tosin Adarabioyo’s proposed move to St James’ Park, it seems Chelsea have two more Toon targets on their wishlist in Giorgi Mamardashvili and Michael Olise.

Football.London report that the Blues are in the market for another goalkeeper and are big fans of Mamardashvili; the Valencia stopper who is believed to be one of Newcastle’s top targets.

It’s thought Chelsea scouts have been watching the 23-year-old closely over the 2023/24 season. Reports in Spain claim the Georgian is keen to sort his future before representing his country at this summer’s Euros, meaning another transfer tussle could be on the cards over the next fortnight.

As for Olise, The Mirror report that the West London club have long-standing interest in the 22-year-old and have lined up a £60m move for the man believed to be high on Newcastle’s list of right-winger targets.

Newcastle’s project is far less of a circus act and features a manager with a superb track record of improving players in Eddie Howe, but the Adarabioyo saga suggests they may be in a position to offer bigger wages, along with European football after Man Utd’s FA Cup win pushed us out of contention.
