Spain are one of the favourites to win Euro 2024 but they will need to be near their best to overcome a Georgia side buoyed by a stunning defeat over Portugal a few days ago.
La Roja are the only team to have won every game at the tournament so far and they reached the knockout stage by topping Group B. Georgia reached this stage after finishing as one of the best third-placed teams.
Spain current form
Spain’s 100% record came from victories against Croatia, Italy and Albania.
The most impressive win was in the opening match as they comfortably defeated Croatia 3-0, with Alvaro Morata, Fabian Ruiz and Dani Carvajal all getting on the scoresheet.
They are the only team yet to concede a goal at Euro 2024.
Georgia current form
The biggest win in Georgia’s history came in the final group game as they magnificently beat Portugal 2-0, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze scoring the two famous goals.
Prior to that game, Georgia suffered defeat versus Turkey and drew 1-1 with Czechia.
Luis de la Fuente made no less than 10 changes to his starting XI for the final group game as Spain had already achieved qualification.
Expect the big guns like Rodri, Morata, Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, Ruiz, Dani Carvajal and Robin Le Normand to return to the lineup. Rodri was suspended for the last game and will return.
Nacho and Ayoze Perez are the only injury concerns.
There is only one confirmed absentee for Georgia as Anzor Mekvabishvili is suspended following his booking in the Portugal victory.
Head coach Willy Sagnol will continue with a 5-3-2 formation.
