England are back in action at 5pm today, with the Three Lions facing Martin Dubravka’s Slovakia for a place in the quarter-finals of the Euros.
According to reports ahead of the game, Kobbie Mainoo will start in midfield ahead of Conor Gallagher, with The Telegraph’s Matt Law believing that Gareth Southgate will stick by the likes of Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka in attack, meaning Anthony Gordon and Cole Palmer could be on the bench once again.
In defence, it remains to be seen if Kieran Trippier will be fit enough to make it. He was a doubt earlier this week due to a calf injury, but it’s emerged that the 33-year-old was back in training on Saturday and could keep his place at left-back.
If our vice-captain can’t make it, however, there’s been suggestions of Kyle Walker at left-back or Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa filling in alongside John Stones and Marce Guehi.
Expected England XI: Pickford – Walker, Stones, Guehi, Trippier – Rice, Mainoo – Saka, Bellingham, Foden – Kane.
