Parting ways with Thomas Tuchel after the ex-Chelsea boss could only muster a single full campaign at the Allianz, many across the continent were left stunned as Vincent Kompany was officially appointed as Tuchel’s successor on May 29th.

Guiding Burnley to an immediate Championship return last season as the Clarets failed to keep hold of their Premier League status, the former Manchester City skipper will be under a huge amount of scrutiny in Munich.

Getting Kane over more summer heartbreak

While there might have been plenty of eyebrows raised last summer as Bayer splashed out £100million on Harry Kane, the former Tottenham talisman certainly repaid that lofty fee as he broke a string of long-standing records at the Allianz.

Although Kane might have stormed his way to Germany’s Golden Boot last season as the England skipper notched 36 goals in his 32 Bundesliga appearances, there are questions over just how much of a phycological blow he suffered over the summer.

Despite notching three EURO 24 goals as the Three Lions eventually fell to a 2-1 defeat in last weekend’s final from Berlin, the 30-year-old was miles away from his tantalising best and fingers have been pointed in Kane’s direction.
