Player arrives on Tyneside to undergo medical after £15m agreement – Romano

It looks like William Osula’s move to Newcastle United will be wrapped up in the next 24 hours.

As revealed by Fabrizio Romano today, the Danish talent has arrived on Tyneside this morning to undergo a medical after Newcastle agreed a fee with Sheffield United.

The deal is thought to be an initial £10m plus a further £5m in add-ons, with the 21-year-old forward expected to sign a long-term deal at the club if his medical goes smoothly today.

Osula is a 6ft 4′ striker who can also operate out wide. He’s still raw, but the Denmark U21 international gives our squad a third option up top behind Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson, with his pace, power, quick feet and versatility handing Eddie Howe plenty to work with on the training ground.

With this deal almost done following Romano’s ‘here we go’ announcement this morning, Newcastle will also be hoping to make progress with moves for a right-sided centre-back and right winger; two top priorities ahead of the 2024/25 season.
